In the practice of Qimen Dunjia, the geography of the Earth can be divided into eight sectors or “eight gates”. In the southwest “Kun” (“坤”) represents the gate of death. The northeast “Gen” (“艮”) corresponds to the gate of life. When a person dies and enters the bardo (transitory) state, the southwest gate is used for the spiritual liberation of the deceased. The southwestern dragon meridian starts from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau stretches in the direction of the southwest and gathers in Egypt which is known as the southwestern dragon. The place where the meridian gathers is charged with powerful energies. By activating the combining energies of heaven and earth together, many will benefit and gain tremendous spiritual growth. Under the lead of Master Zhang Bu Sheng, practitioners will trek the Italian Alpine mountain ranges in search of energy meridian spots.
