Exploration and Spiritual Practice in Gelephu: OOSS Team Unveils Vision for Shambhala

[ Gelephu, Bhutan, December 9, 2025 ]

On December 9, 2025, under the guidance of Master Zhang, the OOSS team conducted a one-day site inspection and spiritual practice in the southern Bhutanese region of Gelephu. This integrated journey combined cultural exploration, spiritual cultivation, and future planning, marking a significant step in their mission.

In the morning, the team first visited the proposed site in Gelephu, selected by the Central Monastic Body. From there, they ascended the mountain road to reach the sacred site of the Prajnaparamita Temple, an ancient protector deity temple of Bhutan. Revered in Bhutan’s history and belief system, this temple has been a place of prayer for kings and important religious figures during key national and spiritual moments.

At the scenic viewpoint near the summit, the team enjoyed a panoramic view of Gelephu. Master Zhang highlighted the region’s strategic significance: the largest international airport in Gelephu is under construction to the right, while a plot to the left is planned for OOSS development in collaboration with local landowners. Using Feng Shui principles, Master Zhang analyzed Gelephu’s energy flow and development potential, laying the groundwork for future planning.

Later, the master led the team in a special ritual at the sacred protector site, utilizing the profound energies of the Kalachakra Dharma to invoke prayers for global peace, national prosperity, and the liberation of all beings from suffering.

In the afternoon, the team gathered for a celebratory banquet at a local restaurant. Master Zhang and his wife personally prepared two exquisite dishes, demonstrating heartfelt care and affection, which deeply touched all those present. The evening ended on a warm, joyous note.

That night, the team gathered in a hotel meeting room, where Master Zhang presented the blueprint for future projects in Bhutan. He shared the vision of a “Pure Land on EarthShambhala World,” focused on the “FiveFree Plan” to create a sanctuary for all beings, offering refuge and peace, and advancing towards a true earthly paradise.
