Bhutan Report: Site Inspection in Gelephu

On November 8, 2025, the OOSS Global Team departed from the capital, Thimphu, embarking on a site inspection journey southward to Gelephu. This trip focused on blending business with spiritual practice, with a comprehensive survey of geography, energy environments, and regional development.

In the morning, the team passed through Dochula Pass at 3,100 meters, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. They visited the 108 stupas, built in 2003 by the mother of the Third King of Bhutan to honor soldiers who contributed to the nation’s security. The team paused briefly to experience the solemn and peaceful atmosphere of the highland pass, absorbing both its natural and cultural significance.

The team then travelled to Tsirang for lunch, followed by an on-site survey of the surrounding mountains. Through a detailed analysis of the mountain ranges, river systems, and topographical structure, a location at the center of a “Lotus Platform” configuration was identified as an auspicious site for future spiritual and development projects. Master Zhang provided an explanation of the relationship between geographical features and energy fields, offering valuable insights for future spiritual layouts and project site selection.

Continuing southward, the team traveled along the Puna Tsang Chu River. Formed by the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, this essential water system nourishes the surrounding farmland and villages. Master Zhang led a site-specific teaching on the river’s course, guiding the team to understand the symbolic significance of energy flow as reflected in the natural movement of water.

Around 40 miles from Gelephu, a disciple of Rinpoche, a local construction and restaurant business leader, greeted the team with a traditional meal of tsampa and butter tea.

This site inspection effectively combined regional research, geographical exploration, development condition assessment, and spiritual practice, reflecting the “spirituality as the foundation, business as the application” approach to comprehensive assessments. The trip deepened the team’s understanding of the region’s environment and development potential, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and projects.
