PROJECT 108 โ A Once-in-a-Lifetime Pilgrimage to Bhutan

On 1 November 2026, Bhutan will host one of the most extraordinary events in modern Buddhist history โ Project 108.
Initiated by His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, this historic royal project will bring together thousands of participants to complete the construction of 108 Jangchub Chortens (Stupas of Enlightenment) within Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) in a single day.

Master Zhang Bu Sheng will personally lead the group on this extraordinary pilgrimage to Bhutan.
Participants will have the rare opportunity to help build the stupas and take part in the consecration, sacred-object enshrinement and other meaningful activities.

1. A Historic Royal Initiative
– Join eminent Buddhist masters and devotees from around the world in building 108 stupas in one dayโdedicating the immeasurable merit towards world peace.
2. Personally Led by Master Zhang
– Journey from Singapore to Thimphu, Punakha, Gelephu and Paroโs sacred Tigerโs Nest, with the Grand Master guiding the group in shared practice and prayers.
3. Sacred Enshrinement and Offerings
– Only 10 sacred enshrinement and offering opportunities remain. This is an extremely precious and rare opportunity.
Tentative Itinerary
- 1 November (Main Event): Join us in Gelephu Mindfulness City to participate in the historic royal eventโProject 108: Building 108 Bodhi Chortens in One Day.
- 2 November (Sacred Consecration): Attend the grand consecration ceremony of the stupas and earn merit through sacred-object enshrinements in Gelephu.
- 29 October โ 7 November (Remaining Schedule): Includes arrival in Bhutan, visits in Thimphu, pilgrimage to Punakha, prayers at Paroโs Tigerโs Nest, and transit for the return journey. The detailed daily itinerary will be flexibly adjusted and optimized by Master Zhang Bu Sheng and the team based on on-site conditions, official event schedules, and flight updates.
