Kalachakra is the crown of the Tantric tradition, the king of all mandalas, the condensation of the compassion, wisdom and power of all Buddhas of the three times and ten directions.
• “Kala · Time” – transcending linear time, pointing directly to your eternal, unborn nature.
• “Chakra · Wheel” – crushing the wheel of samsaric ignorance, turning the wheel of nirvanic freedom.
The tantra itself proclaims:
“Time is the wheel of wisdom;
the wheel is time as skilful means;
the two truths turning as one are called the King of Kalachakra.”

Three Dimensions of Kalachakra
1. Outer Kalachakra – The Law of the Universe
• Encompasses astronomy, planetary cycles and cosmic rhythms.
• Its calendrical science can calculate eclipses with astonishing precision, showing the deep harmony between Dharma and science.
2. Inner Kalachakra – The Law of Body and Energy
• Corresponds to the winds, channels and drops within the subtle body:
five winds, three main channels, and tens of thousands of branch channels.
• Through the Vajra Recitation, karmic winds are tamed, and the coarse body is gradually transformed into light-body / rainbow body potential.
3. Other / Secret Kalachakra – The Mandala of Awakening
• The complete mandala of the deity, where body, speech and mind of guru and disciple unite.
• On this path one may realise the Four Kāyas and Five Wisdoms,
a swift path to enlightenment in this very life, especially for beings of the degenerate age.
