Morning session: Business Exchange and Policy Discussion

During the business session, Bhutan’s leading insurer, Bhutan Insurance Ltd. (BIL), presented the OOSS team with an in-depth overview of their company, national network, and current insurance offerings. A highlight of the presentation was BIL’s announcement of a groundbreaking new product: “Five-Free Insurance.” Covering five essential areas—healthcare, retirement, education, liberation services, and funeral expenses—this innovative policy aims to provide lifelong coverage and support, showcasing Bhutan’s forward-thinking approach to social security.

Following this, BIL’s leadership and Marketing Director engaged the OOSS team in a dynamic Q&A session, further enhancing mutual understanding. The Marketing Director also provided a thorough breakdown of Bhutan’s updated foreign direct investment policies, highlighting simplified application procedures, expanded investment sectors, provisions for 100% foreign ownership in select fields, and access to foreign exchange. This underscored Bhutan’s commitment to welcoming foreign investment and driving economic growth with an open, progressive approach.

Afternoon session: Spiritual Cleansing and Cultural Exchange

In the afternoon, the event shifted from business to the spiritual realm. His Eminence Tsula Lopen Rinpoche bestowed the rare and secret “Wrathful Guru Rinpoche Empowerment.” As the wrathful manifestation of Guru Padmasambhava, this empowerment carries unmatched potency, effectively clearing all obstacles and non-human disturbances from both spiritual practice and daily life. Recipients felt the profound blessing, awakening fearlessness and courage, filling the space with an overwhelming sense of joy and spiritual elevation. The OOSS team, together with local Bhutanese practitioners, participated in this sacred and transformative ceremony.

Following the empowerment, students of Rinpoche performed a traditional, auspicious dance, which deeply inspired the OOSS team. They joyfully joined in, dancing together in a warm and lively exchange. Rinpoche’s students also offered each OOSS member a precious gift of fragrant incense.
